The theory of Topic Representation states that each educational skill is shaped into an exercise by explaining it as a topic, written as a paragraph. Based on the theory of Reading Comprehension Principles, questions are formulated about the topic that the learner answers to educate himself: The answers, or clues to the answers, are in the paragraph. The Cycle of Learning’s rule for creating a question of the definition sentence and answering it applies to supporting sentences in the paragraph. This process of composing an exercise from an educational skill is called the Topic format. The Topic format is used to create exercises for each educational skill from preschool through university.
